Hope in Autumn: poetically Tuesday

There is hope before winter
In the vibrant hues arranged in rows
Firey pigments unequivocated
Reminding me of cozy warmth passing
Joining with soft expanses in hues of green
And beige soon to be covered in winters
Angry flurry. Leaves fallen brown and dead below
Trees now stark and shadowy
I wait with cold, empty hands for promiced snow
As strong howls whip
Through one ear and out the other
I am hearing, yet winter's warning remains unheeded
Barren branches stretch toward heaven
Silently questioning and shivering with the wind
Trying to stand against the gusts of life alone, yet together.
Fighting, wrestling, rustling against life's questions
In the questioning
There is hope
But first winter must take his turn
